Our History

From 1980 to the present

1980

National Vacuum Equipment founded in Traverse City, MI.

1981

Obtained the rights to Distribute an Italian line of vacuum pumps, Battioni Pagani.

1982

Started the fabrication of industrial tank components and started purchasing for resale, various valves and accessories.

1990

Birth of the Challenger Series Vacuum Pump and NVE obtains ASME code certification.

1994

Product automation takes off at NVE with our first robotic welder and a CNC turning center.

1998

Doubled fabrication shop with multiple pieces of metal fabrication equipment.

1999

Introduces own line of NVE valves.

2001

Introduction of the Challenger Series High Vacuum Blower.

2007

Started Powder Coating in house.

2011

Moved into the current state of the art
manufacturing facility.

2014

Development of the NVE Oil Management System.

2015

NVE introduces it’s own line of vanes and introduced the 304 to the portable toilet industry.

2017

Introduced the 887 Challenger Series Vacuum.

2019

Introduced blower technology to the portable toilet and septic industry with the B250 & B500 and added raw material warehouse to main facility.

2020

Expanded into the Hydro Excavating industry.

2021

Introduced the 6819 High Vacuum Blower to the Liquid Waste industry.

2022

Aquired by Atlas Copco.
